Francis is a 10 month old purebred minature chocolate poodle. He is a bit shy but very affectionate, loves to snuggle and sleep under the blankie. He is good with other dogs, but does like his personal attention. He also likes to strut his stuff on the catwalk and show off is physique (he is great on a leash).

Chocolate poodles come in a range of brown, from light cocoa to a deep, rich bittersweet. Their coats may show some variation in color, especially darker feathering on their ears and tipping on their ruffs. This is not a falt according to AKC breed standards. Brown poodles should have liver-colored noses, eye-rims and lips, with dark toenails and dark amber eyes. Chocolate poodles have a sophisticated look and an easy temperament. Like all poodles, they are lively and intelligent, perhaps one of the most easily trained of all dogs. Poodles are often preferred for agility and obedience competitions. And when properly socialized, they are among the happiest of breeds.

Just like the Standard Poodle, the Miniature Poodle is a beautiful, loveable dog - just in a smaller package. The Miniature measures 15 inches or less at the shoulder, making the breed more suitable for Poodle-lovers living in the city. The coat colors, conformation and general care of the Miniature are identical to those of the Toy Poodle. Easy to train and full of fun, these bright, affectionate dogs make wonderful playmates for children and all-round excellent family companions.
